Following up on Code Academy

Back in September last year I wrote about a new startup called Code Academy (see original posting here) which aimed to easily teach people how to program through simple lessons. This year they are back and building on their previous success with CodeYear.

CodeYear is a subscription service. Sign up and every week you will get new programming exercises in your Email Inbox. Due to retweets and reshares on Social Networking sites the number of signups has been significant. At the time of writing this, “163,774 people have decided to learn to code in 2012” says the banner on the site front page.

So if learning to program was on your New Years Resolution list this year, here’s your chance to get started.

You can sign up at http://codeyear.com/
